Superheroes, Masculinity and Men
We have watched, read superheroes and grown up since our childhood. Be it Stern, serious, intelligent Batman, physically strong Superman, Fastest man Flash and many more.
With the marvel movies producing one of the highest grossing movie of all time, we should look into what superheroes teach us.
In the age where, being man is shunned or hated, one of the place where we can see masculinity in full work is Comic Superhero World.
I know that in this modern world, we don’t have too many people who can teach us to be masculine and be proud of being masculine. We can look at the gods to learn on what it means to be human but to be masculine, I think the best way to look at is through comic characters or anime characters.
Some of the main characteristics that most of the comic characters have are
1. Winning
We have never seen a superhero who has lost and given up. No matter what he loses, his family, friends, relatives, G.F, anyone, he is willing to fight and win. Even if he loses, he will come back to win. I think its because of his duty, as a man one is required to win and follow the duty, no need to win in 1 try, just work hard till you win and make it a habit, it will give you something you never had.
