The most epic love story ever told, the story of radha and krishna.
What is the story?
It is story of God Krishna who left Radha and went on to marry 16008 wives.
But on the other hand, there was radha who never married and loved krishna with all her heart.
I read this book called radha, written by Krishna Dharabasi. In this story he goes on to describe how radha lives on after krishna leaves her.
Then in the final chapter, when krishna and radha meet, radha asks krishna, why?
Krishna gives explanation, that he searched for radha in his 16008 wives, some had radhas eyes, some ears, some beauty, some this and that.
But the biggest question radha asks krishna is, why he didnt come back after his fulfillment of his promise.
Then krishna goes on to say, it is his duty towards the world, which stopped him.
He belonged to the world, he had much more duty to do. He was not to be engaging on love.
Then i realized something.
There are different people in world.
Some people are like tree, who are fixed on ground, have roots, and are not replaces.
And some people are like birds, who come and sit on the tree, but go after some times.
For tree being in one place is happiness and its purpose, for bird being free and going here and there is its purpose.
For tree, bird is selfish for it doesnt stay with it forever and for bird, tree is selfish for it doesnt move with bird forever.
And i realized in love we all people are like radha and krishna.
While some people wait and ask for the justification just like radha in book, some people go and fulfill their purpose like krishna.
I am not saying radha is wrong or krishna is wrong.
They are right in their own path.
Its just they were parallel lines, who understood each other just, they didnt find a point to meet.
And just like a horizon where land and sky meet, we people try to find the romance in such beautiful scenery, just like relationship between radha and krishna.
We people are always wanting to be hopelessly romantic just like radha.
I know it takes courage to love someone as deeply as radha but it also takes courage to leave such love and go and perform your duty towards the cold selfish world.
Gone through several break up, i have realized, i am sometimes playing radha and sometimes krishna in my life.
Sometimes i am here asking myself like why did she leave me? Was i not good enough? Whatever the reason, i cant find a reason to not love her. Just like radha.
And
Some times, i am here giving answers like, i had a purpose in my life, i had to fulfill my duty as a man, as a human being. Just like krishna.
Maybe some people can relate to this, and maybe some cant.
But in love i realized that, we are already realizing, radha and krishna within us.
